STRIP method

New Hair Clinic has performed hair transplants with Strip method since 1992.

Strip method is an excellent method when you need many hair follicles at one time.

After taking place in the operation-chair the surgery with the Strip method is planned in detail. We draw the contour of the hairline and discuss our way to the hair follicles to be distributed.

We shave a small part of the back of the head. By taping up the hair in the back of the head and only shave a small area, you can easily hide the shaved area. We draw the contour of the piece of skin to give you the hair follicles for transplantation. Then the surgeon put local anesthetic .

Then the skin strip are removed by the surgeon. Efforts to divide skin strip in the natural follicle groups is already in full swing under the microscope.

We give you a sedative so you can relax and sleep and the surgeon puts local anesthetic around the area where the transplant is performed. You lie down comfortably and sleeps most of the time of this part on the day of surgery. Small incisions is done in the area where we will put your hair and then picked each graft into its own plug-ins, at a large surgery with Strip-method it is usually 1800 – 2400 such small plugs. It is a time consuming work and constantly employs surgical assistants. We use methylene blue in the implantation in order to make the small plug holes more clearly.

When the last hair follicles are in place, the area are thoroughly cleaned and any small corrections are made, before we put a protective bandage. You will keep this during the following night. The day after the surgery with Strip method the bandage is removed and also some of the stiches.

Prices Strip method on New Hair Clinic
Maximum hair transplantation with Strip Method, from 1600 grafts/4000 hair follicles (can sometimes cause 6-7000 hair follicles): SEK 51 000: -

Medium hair transplantation, max 1200 grafts/3000 hair follicles: SEK 40.000: – With about 2500 hair follicles can occupy up to about 40 cm ² of the skull at maximum densification.

Small hair transplantation, up to 700 grafts/2000 hair follicles: SEK 30.000: – This option allows you for example to fill out 10 – 15 cm ² “bays” in both sides of the hairline. If necessary, the surface much more than 25 cm ², barely suffice the small operation.

Additional cost
If you do not want to be shaved on the surface where the hair is transplanted to, there will be a fee of 4000 SEK (maximum hair transplantation with Strip method) , 3000 SEK (medium hair transplantation with Strip method) and 2000 SEK ( small hair transplantation with Strip method).
